One of the most important aspects of an EPQ is the research. How much you do and the quality of it will affect your final grade, so it’s good to spend a lot of time researching. Research should make up about 40%-50% of your total EPQ essay. That’s a lot of research, and you can see from this figure that quality research is crucial to your success.

If you make your word count per subtitle too high, then you’ll struggle when it comes to actually writing your EPQ essay.
